It has to be more reliable that a Range Rover right? Right?

The older diesels have the same engine as my w123. I always wondered if I could somehow use GD parts to make an AWD 300D.

Technically its required by law to be more reliable, but the law is vague as to HOW much more reliable.

I want a modified Defender 110.
I think I’m starting to get over my Range Rover obsession but then again a year of Range Rover reliability warnings will do that. Well that and a certain Defender owner pumping out cool posts about their Defenders.

A transfer case and a solid axle are probably hard to fit under a car.

An old G mabye.

True but it could be lifted a bit. These roadside assistance cars inspired me. A few inches should help, for sure serious measurements of the parts and the car would be needed.

I love the G so much. I will own one some day...

I’ll have to own one someday... I like the damn thing so much I’d be willing to buy an automatic! (hehe)
If I may bore you a little longer, my current reasonably-priced favorite is the G400 CDI from about 2005-ish... Giant V8 diesel, reliable from what I’ve read on the forums, bad-ass legendary looks, and will be legal in Canada in about 5 years...

Don’t know about that! We got a new one with a leaking washer fluid bottle. Also used to see them in the shop often. But Damn those trucks are fun. Top tip: the 550 is a better drive than the 63. I’d take a 65 though.
